The Sports Pharmacy Network (SPN) is preparing to launch the Sports Pharmacy Foundation Course, a comprehensive educational program designed to introduce learners to the core concepts that define sports pharmacy practice. This course covers essential topics including clean sport and anti-doping, metabolic and physiologic testing, emergency medicine, nutrition and hydration strategies, and additional foundational areas every aspiring sports pharmacist or healthcare professional should understand.

To ensure the highest level of accuracy, clarity, and learner experience, SPN is seeking a select group of Course Reviewers & Beta Testers. These individuals will play a critical role in shaping the final version of this flagship program before its public release.

Role Overview

Course Reviewers & Beta Testers will evaluate course content, user experience, and instructional design to help ensure that the Sports Pharmacy Foundation Course is high-quality, clinically sound, and optimized for learner engagement. This includes reviewing lectures, slide decks, supplementary materials, and interactive components.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned course modules for clarity, scientific accuracy, formatting quality, and educational value.
• Identify areas where explanations could be strengthened, streamlined, or further supported by evidence.
• Evaluate the usability of the course platform, navigation, and overall learning flow.
• Test quizzes, assignments, and case-based learning elements for functionality and clarity.
• Provide detailed, constructive feedback through structured SPN provided review forms or checklists.
• Assist in identifying any gaps in content that may enhance learner understanding.
• Maintain confidentiality of all course material and pre-release content.

Expected Commitment

• Access and review course materials during a designated reviewing window
• Access and provide feedback on course during a designated beta testing window
• Estimated time commitment: ~4 hours per module, total hours depending on the number of modules assigned.
  • We anticipate reviews will have to review 3 modules
• Provide feedback within 2 weeks of receiving content.

Qualifications

• Ideal for pharmacists, residents, students, athletic trainers, dietitians, strength and conditioning coaches, or other professionals interested in athlete health.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort giving constructive, actionable feedback.
• Familiarity with introductory sports pharmacy topics is helpful but not required. We believe a diverse perspective will strengthen course design.
• No previous instructional design or reviewing experience needed.

Participants will receive:

• Free enrollment in the full Sports Pharmacy Foundation Course (upon launch).
• Early access to all modules before the general public.
