Dr. Katie Dabrowski, DPT, CSCS is a physical therapist and strength coach whose passion for disrupting the traditional model of physical therapy led her to Old Bull Athletics to create a 100% individualized, one-on-one treatment model that meets patients where they fall along the spectrum of wellness: preparedness, performance, recovery, or injury rehabilitation. Her undergraduate studies in psychology and neuroscience at Nova Southeastern University were accompanied by extensive involvement in research, a Divisional Honors Thesis comparing the effects of brain training games and physical exercise on executive function, and being a part of the rowing team. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Miami and further explored research across the spectrum of exercise science and neuroscience.
Dr. Dabrowski is also a neuroscience faculty member at Nova Southeastern University, where she teaches coursework blending the fields of exercise science and neuroscience. She also serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Society for Sport Neuroscience, has published works ranging from original research to textbook chapters, and is co-founder of Gifted Academics, an education company committed to providing high level certification prep materials for certification exams in the strength and conditioning and nutrition fields.
Her mission is to change healthcare, promoting the notion that training is healthcare, and that rehab is simply training in the presence of injury.
